A Guide to Tabbing and Annotating

A Guide to Tabbing and Annotating

For those who do want to annotate but don’t know where to start, this is for you.

After a lot of trial and error, I have finally gotten to a place where I feel I have a good, easy to understand tabbing and annotating system. Everyones style is a little different- so this could be a base guide. The beginning of your adventure, if you will.

In terms of supplies, anything goes. I have linked below my favourite tabs and supplies. Bear in mind- I would love to use post-it notes- these are the best. But where I live, buying post-its in the quantity I need will send me into financial ruin. So these are some suitable alternatives.

In regards to annotating and how to annotate I will say- and I cannot stress this enough- write down every single thought that comes into your head. Every little thought. If you think something sounds fishy, write it down. If you think something is sexy, definitely write it down.

Tabbing is a journey, not a destination. Enjoy the ride.
